HTML 5 Cheat Sheet [Free Download]

HTML5 is a standard for structuring and presenting content on the Web. It incorporates features such as geo-location, video playback and drag-and-drop. HTML5 allows developers to create rich internet applications without the need for third party APIs and browser plug-ins.

HTML5 is still under specification, and is currently in the Working Draft stage in the W3C, but many aspects of HTML5 are now stable and can be implemented in browsers.

Here I share cheatsheet of the HTML 5. (download image from below link)

Most Common Web Error Messages Explained

Here are the five most common web error messages explained.

1. 404 server/page not found
The most obvious solution to this common browser message is to check that you typed the web address correctly. If you did, there may be a problem with your Internet connection or the site itself may be down. Also check that your firewall isn’t blocking your browser.

404-error

2. 500 internal server error
If you only see this message on one website, then the problem is at the server end. If you see it on several sites, the error may be caused by a dodgy browser add-on or by a malware infection. Try disabling your add-ons and run a malware scan.

3. 504 gateway timeout
This message usually relates to a network problem at the server end, which means it isn’t your fault. Try refreshing the page or revisiting the site later to see if the error has been fixed.

4. Done, but with errors on the page
Usually seen in Internet Explorer, this error is caused when the web page you’re trying to view has problems with JavaScript or coding. The page may display properly if you use a different browser.

5. Aw, Snap!/He’s dead, Jim!
These amusingly illustrated error messages in Chrome can usually be fixed by reloading the current page, or by closing the tab and reopening the page in a new one. You should also close any inactive tabs you have left open to free up memory.

Top 3 Alternative Software to iTunes

Using  iTunes to update the songs on your mobile device - even an iOS device - can make your whole system sluggish. Try an iTunes alternative.

1. CopyTrans Manager

CopyTrans Manager is an app designed for newer versions of Windows that helps you update iPhones and iPods without slowing down your PC. Once you download CopyTrans, the add-track button will open a ‘Select file’ box, and you can choose your iTunes folder to download into the CopyTrans library.

2. Songbird

Songbird is both PC and Mac capable, and supports a variety of non-iOS devices. Songbird lets you upload a wide range of music and video formats, and importing your iTunes library is easy - when you set up the app, the first window is a prompt to grab music from the hated iTunes.

3. DoubteTwist

To manage both Android and iOS devices, try DoubteTwist. Get songs from your iTunes library and ptay-lists by clicking Library in the menu bar and selecting Add folder to library. Pick your iTunes folder from the Music Library, and you are all set!

View the Original URL of Shortened URL without click in Firefox

Links that have been shortened using a service like Bit.ly could lead anywhere, including to a malicious website.

Long URL Please is a Firefox add-on that shows you the full address so you can see where exactly the link takes you. If you do not use Firefox, there is a bookmarklet available that can be added to any browser.

original-url-behind-short-url

If you worry that clicking web links created using services such as Bit.ly and Goo.gl may lead you to sites that compromise your privacy, install Quo Vadis. This Firefox add-on shows you the full address behind short URLs, so that you always know what you’re clicking.

Unlike other, similar tools, Quo Vadis works with links that have been redirected through several services. For Chrome, try Tactical URL Expander.

TabJump - Turn Tabs into Menus in Google Chrome

If you have a lot of tabs open on a small screen, the tabs can become so small and crowded that it’s impossible to tell which website or page each one is showing.

To solve this problem, you can display the tabs as a drop- down menu.

Tab-menu-chrome

Install Tab Menu to add a button to the toolbar, which drops down into a list of all your open tabs, making it easy to see the one you want.

TabJump-chrome

TabJump is a similar tool that takes things a bit further. It adds a green arrow to the right of the address box. When you click it, you are presented with a list of recently closed tabs, related tabs and frequently used tabs. If, for example, you have opened five tabs on the same website, they will all appear in the related-tabs list.
