Add Copy To Folder and Move To Folder Options in Context Menu on Windows

The two most common actions performed in Explorer are copying and moving files. To make this easier, you can add the commands to the right-click menu.

Press Windows+R and type regedit to open the Registry Editor.

win-r-run-regedit

In the left-hand pane find:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\All FilesystemObjects\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers

Right-click it and select New, Key. Name the key CopyTo and select it. Double-click (Default) on the right and type:

{C2FBB630-2971-11D1-A18C-00C04FD75D13}

Right-click ContextMenuHandlers on the left again, and select New, Key. Name it MoveTo. Select it,

double-click (Default) on the right and type:

{C2FBB631-2971-11D1-A18C-00C04FD75D13}

Quit the Registry editor and right-click a file in Explorer.

Context Menu - Add Copy To Folder and Move To Folder

You now have options to ‘Copy To folder’ and ‘Move To folder’. When you select one, a window pops up that lets you choose the destination drive or folder.
