Best Software to Download YouTube Videos Securely

Lots of sites and tools let you download and convert YouTube videos to watch offline in a media player or on your TV. However, many of them contain adware or malware, and come loaded with unwanted toolbars, pop-ups and other annoyances, so it pays to be vigilant.

One of the simplest programs you can use that is 4K Video Downloader.

Run the 4K Video Downloader software, copy the video URL from YouTube and paste it into the program. You can choose the quality and format in which to save the clip (MP4, FLV, MKV or 3GP), download subtitles and extract the audio.

Another program worth trying is Freemake Video Downloader, which lets you set your preferences so you can download videos from YouTube (and other supported video services) with a single click.
Make sure you deselect any unwanted extras during installation.
