Make Google Chrome your Default Browser in iPhone/iPad

Google recently launched Chrome for iOS and I have found a way to make it the default browser on your iPhone and iPad.

This tip only works on a jailbroken device and you’ll need to have the alternative app store, Cydia installed. Jailbreaking is not illegal, but it may affect your warranty, so do it with caution. If you have not already jailbroken your phone, you will have to research how to do it on the web.

Step 1. Launch the Apple App Store and install the Chrome browser app.

Step 2. Open Cydia, refresh the list, then find and install the Browser Changer app.

Step 3. Click the Respring button to finish the installation.

Step 4. Open Settings, find the Browser Changer options and switch the Enable Changer slider to On.

Step 5. Click Selected Browser and choose Chrome.

Step 6. You no longer have to put up with Safari launching each time you open a link in any other app.
